Summer break till Monday 7th September

Dear dancers,

This is it to say that last Thursday was really beautiful. Thank you to all of you that came and the ones that had the intention to come but for some reason could not make it. It would for sure not be the last time that we will be dancing outdoors. Official Danspiritual holidays are till the begin of September but in the meantime I might surprise you with an invitation to dance somewhere in the city!

I wish you a great time this summer, lots of dance pleasure and sun!

Big hug!

Patricia

Danspiritual at Rembrandtpark rescheduled to Thursday 16th July because of the uncertain weather report, sorry for the inconvenience ;)

 7.45 - 9.30 pm

Do you feel like dancing in bare feet on the grass surrounded by trees under the summer sky at Rembrandtpark? Of course you do! It is your last chance before we take a summer break. Just as in the indoor sessions, we start by grounding ourselves, doing some body awareness exercises and then moving to the rhythms of an inspiring dance playlist that I will specially create for this occasion!

Bring a yoga mat or a towel, a blanket and enough water. If the weather is not so hot you might like to bring some comfy warm clothes you can take off later on. Some snacks to share at the end?

Really looking forward to seeing you all next on Thursday!

10 euro
Students / low income 8 euro
First time: 5 euro

Open Podium at OT301

On the 6th of June I was invited by writer Georgina Zinno to give a workshop to an enthusiastic group of participants at Open Podium  at OT301. Open Podium is an open cultural event for Spanish-speaking artists, both professional and amateur. It was an afternoon of poetry, music, dance, books and fantastic vibes. Congratulations Georgina for such a great initiative! Thank you Maria Dominguez for the great pics.

The Lake Performance Group

'Lake' is a multidisciplinary theatre performance in which movement, text, visual elements, surrounding sounds, human voice, electronic and acoustic music come together into a dialogue. The original version was the result of a collaboration between  composer Felipe Ignacio Noriega and librettist Nikolett Németh. This piece was awarded the audience prize in the 2scoremusictheater competition in Enschede 2012.

When I was contacted by Nikolett sometime in June and asked if I would be open to work with the actors to help them improve physical scenes and raise their body consciousness I responded with an enthusiastic yes!

It was a real pleasure to have met Nikolett and to witness her passion and commitment and it was such an enjoyable experience working closely with these talented artists who were eager and open to suggestions to make the most out of their performances. It felt so natural collaborating with them. I am very grateful for the inspiring experience and I hope there will be an opportunity to work with them again in the near future!

The group was just about to participate in the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design & Space 2015 when we met. I very much look forward to seeing them perform sometime soon!
