ABOUT

Patricia Vega is an visual artist, teacher, Inner Child and Danspiritual coach. She studied mime with Norma Berrade and theatre with Aurora Colina in Lima, Peru. She graduated from the Audiovisual Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2002 with the fiction film "Idiocy Sweet Idiocy". She studied Graphic Design in the Catholic University of Peru in Lima. She has worked as free lance graphic designer and taught in several art academies like the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Centro de la Fotografia, Toulouse Lautrec Institute, Antonio Gaudi Institute between others. She has widely exhibited her artwork in museums and galleries worldwide and in her natal Lima. Her children's book "Pompon" has been published in 2014. If there is a constant in her search, it is her clear vision of an attainable state of balance and calm in daily live. Her artistic and spiritual path is aligned with this vision. Her conviction through personal exploration of the healing and harmonizing power of meditation, free expression through body awareness, movement and dance, had led Patricia to create Danspiritual in 2014. www.patriciavega.nl

Danspiritual’s practice combines Mindfulness meditation and body consciousness exercises with spontaneous, instinctual movement and dance. Fundamental to the practice is the individual's experience in the present moment and the cultivation of a non judgemental attitude.

Energy of Infinite Love 
Thursday 19th January in Horizon

Can you imagine how would it feel if you live immerse in the energy of Infinite Love all the time?; full of unconditional, all understanding and compassionate love? Who would you be? How would you treat yourself and others? Would you like to get in contact with this energy through movement meditation and dance?

Next Thursday 19th we gather in an environment where you will feel safe and free to use your imagination, awareness of the body to tap into this energy!

Intentions for the year in a Full Moon Session Thursday 12th January!

After a break I am looking forward to start dancing with you again every Thursday in West! I also want to share this time some tools I have been using for almost a year with amazing results. One is to hold a shared gratitude journal. It consists in writing everyday ten or more things you are grateful for and send it to a friend who has agreed to do the same. Doing it with a partner stimulates your following up and gives extra joy to it. It is well know that gratitude is some of the higher vibrational kind of energies one can experience. Have you noticed that when you are extremely happy, gratitude is what immediately arise? That is why at Danspiritual sessions, we dedicate a moment of gratitude before we start dancing. Another thing that I have started doing, thanks to a tip of my dear friend E is making a full moon meditation every month and it is really beautiful!

12th January all of you are welcome for a Full Moon Danspiritual session. Let's do the ritual of connecting to this powerful energy in this special day, set goals and intentions for the year and dance from your heart!

Art Work & Happy Danspiritual Holidays!

Hi dear friends,

The year is almost gone and I hope you had one that you can look back with satisfaction. I am sure you can!

I was in Lima half of it and this step has been a very significant one for me. Being with my family and friends there; connecting with new lovely people; developing and giving Danspiritual and Inner Child workshops in Lima full time; exhibiting my art work; traveling to my beloved Peruvian Andes; not seeing my son for more than a year or almost. (He came to visit me in Peru for two weeks before going to New York to do a semester there!). Proud mum for seeing him so independent but also missing him a lot! And now in Holland picking up my life here and going for it! Lots of changes in fact, that had brought me insights, inspiration and growth. Danspiritual has been specially important for me this year and as most of you know, I have enjoyed every single second of it. That is why I want to thank you for joining the sessions. It’s been a great, great pleasure to dance with you and I hope we will keep connected! There is something magic to dancing with each other. There is a sort of intimacy shared. We are kind of naked when we fully give ourselves to the dance. That is why it can be confronting, even scary at the beginning but so liberating at last! Long life to dance in all its forms because it is a great tool to connect with who we are and with others without masks. 

Besides telling you that we are having a Danspiritual break. We dance again on 12th December in Horizon, I want to share with you that the first two limited edition fine art prints are ready for sale. Check it out! 

Some time ago, I started to illustrate moments where I felt specially happy and whole. We are back to our Thursday Danspiritual sessions on 1st December!

We have started dancing at De Horizon and it has been really great to have new people and old friends join the sessions. Hereby a testimony of one of the participants. Next Thursday won't be session. We restart the 1st of December.

De eerste keer Spiritual Dancing was nieuw. Ik wist niet wat er zou gebeuren en was nieuwsgierig als een kind. Door de dans was ik intens verbonden met mijn lichaam en dat gaf een enorme vrijheid in bewegen. De volgende dag was ik heel bewust van mijn balans en de zwaartekracht. Dat was een heerlijke en bijzondere ervaring. 

De tweede keer had ik al een verwachting. Bovendien zat niet lekker in mijn vel. In het dansen was ik meer afwachtend. Zocht mijzelf. Het is belangrijk om de onbevangenheid van een kind te bewaren. Het dansen is als een soort spiegel en kan confronterend zijn. Maar net als Mindfulness is het een helend proces. Zo ervaar ik dat wel. Het dansen voert de geest mee op een stroom, voorbij gepieker en zorgen. De volgende dag was ik intens moe en dat heb ik geaccepteerd. C
