Dance Workshop at 7am. at Circular Economy BOOSTcamping at Nijmegen!

I had the pleasure to be invited to give a dance workshop for the participants of  Circular Economy Boost camping video min 1:14 at Nijmegen on the 29th of May.

I was very pleased to see that most of people who stayed at the camping liked to join the workshop which was scheduled before breakfast in an improvised dance space at the cafeteria.

We started with a short body scan before doing some warming up exercises and then we danced. And we danced hard!

I was happily surprised of the response and openness of the participants. Everybody felt quickly at ease, connected to each other, laughing and having fun!

This is what participants answer to me when I asked how did they feel after the workshop:

- Perfect!

- Great!

- Very good!

- Good.

- Happy!

- Relaxed.

- Energised.

- Awake!

- A swinging begin of the day...

- I feel very happy!

I want to thank all participants and organisers for making this possible. I am looking forward to a similar experience in the future.

Dance at the Office at Circle Economy!

Hi there dear dancers,
I want to share a really beautiful and inspiring experience I had last Wednesday morning.

I was invited by Merve Güvendik, one of our enthusiastic participants in Danspiritual evenings, to give a 30 minutes "Dance at the Office" workshop at Circle Economy offered as a team building activity.

This is what her colleagues and herself said about the workshop:

- It was fun!

- It was joyful.

- I felt bound together.

- I felt like a child.

- I was tense, I am not tense anymore.

- Good start of the day.

- We felt very comfortable with each other while dancing.

Merve: "When I told them about Danspiritual, they thought it was too "spiritual" but today they found out that it is so much fun and it was not that spiritual. They liked it. Another thing they said is that they realised it really increased their energy and they could go easily through the day if they just start dancing like this for half an hour in the morning.
Last thing they said was that the flow of the dance, the whole event was so natural. We started just walking and everybody could step in so easily because the flow was just natural."

Thank you Merve and thank you Circle Economy participants. You made my day!
After that I was asked to give another workshop for a Circle Economy Congress in Nijmegen for 60 people... Looking forward to it ;)

09-03-2015

Hi dearest dancers!
I want to thank everyone who participated in the last session for making that night so special! THANKS!

If you have ever joined us you might know that at Danspiritual we have a lot of fun and end up totally relaxed and not wanting to leave that state!

If we choose to meditate in between the sessions. Let's say 5 to 20 minutes everyday we can bring our well being to a higher level. Not that we won’t feel blue anymore but we might start being more conscious of why this is happening.  Be able to deal with strong emotions and to exercise what I find the most powerful tool for inner change: ACCEPTANCE of WHAT IS. And I mean NO matter WHAT IT IS. That is the hard part.

I am convinced that the power of dance is enormous and so it is our need to commune in a group to feel alive, accepted or even better loved and part of something bigger than ourselves. The reason I introduced mindfulness exercises in the sessions is because of the amazing positive results that this can bring to people in the form of awareness, creativity and health. These exercises in combination with dancing freely in a safe environment results into an experience that creates in my opinion a kind of resilience to negativity. Coming Monday I would like to give some more attention to meditation. Tell you a bit of my experience with it and of course: Dance dance & dance!

Do you love dancing and like to join a bunch of sweet fun people gathering together to enjoy themselves and take a little step further in developing a better contact with yourself and therefore with others? If yes is the answer join us.
I suspect you will love it!

Patricia

What is that we do at Danspiritual?

Through combining music and movement in a safe environment we are lead to leave the ego aside and feel how unique and precious it is to be alive, to have a body, to be breathing, how peaceful we can feel, how much joy we can experience through focusing on the sensations of the body, through allowing the music to guide us and letting the sense of freedom and happiness that is ours, arise spontaneously.
How can something as simple and at hand as dancing transform our mood instantly? Because dancing is a natural human way of expression of all times and cultures. Because dancing in a non judgemental and supportive group is liberating, exhilarating, sensual, vital, magic, healing, soothing, empowering, nourishing. The list goes on.
